Not having heard of this intrument before I did some quick research online and saw that the thin shell of the body might not take one. Nor have I seen his, so I don't know...

Why violin-makers adopted the f-shaped hole

http://boingboing.net/2015/03/09/why-violin-makers-adopted-the.html Why did violins slowly develop f-shaped sound-holes? Because it makes them more acoustically powerful than their ancestors, which had holes shaped liked a circle -- as a team of MIT scientists recently concluded. Back in the the 10...

Re: How will changing scale length affect the sound

Hi Quinny, I'm a lefty, getting into building slowly and the uke is now my instrument of choice. I play a tenor and own a soprano and baritone, and find the tenor to be the closest to what feels comfortable but I'm going to make my next build at 18'' rather than 17" the 19" Baritone is a little larg...

Another Newbie

Hi my name is Luke (53yo) and I've played guitar on and off for years, and recently took to playing the Ukulele. I did this because of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dupuytren's_contracture in my right hand and find the smaller size of a uke much easier to play. I'm also lefty and have always had trou...
