Re: A few latest builds

Thanks Dave.

It's close to a Jeffrey Elliott design. I am very happy with the balance across the strings.

Cheers Peter.

Re: Carbatec 400 mm Drum Sander Issues

I've had a Performax 16-32 for around 17 years, given it hell and it's never missed a beat, Never had to touch the tracking.
Probably until tomorrow!

Re: Acacia dread build thread

Ouch!

I've had that happen with nut inserts just a few too many times. I now use a mortise chisel and put put a square brass block up through the heal per Trevor Gore, never happened since.

Polyurethane Finish

I'm looking to convert to Mirothane PU finish but 4 Litre minimum per item (sealer, top coat, hardener and thinner) with a 12 month shelf life makes it a bit uneconomical for my small output. Without even sending a message I jumped on the phone to Allen McFarlen who not only steered me in the right direction but emailed me with product, ratio's and schedule information. What a fabulous co...

Re: Cases

Peter & Bob thanks for the info. Bummer there's nothing easier, I was getting some really great fitting cases through Manny's that came with Eastman guitars but that has dried up.
