Re: Elmer Guitar

Thanks Steve and Martin, I appreciate your advice. Thought I might test their responsiveness via their online form. They got back to me in a couple of hours which is better than some local providers. If I decide to make a purchase, and the quality is comparable to the SM offerings, I'll give ANZLF s...

Elmer Guitar

Wondering if anyone has any feedback regarding these guys https://elmerguitar.com . I know they're a Chinese company and that their prices are attractive. Acknowledging that you get what you pay for, I have had good experiences with the quality and response time from McJing and Yinfente and wonder w...

Radius dishes

Hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. Whilst I would l I ve to have a crack at making my own dish(s), time is an issue. Several emails to CNC businesses here in Brisbane have yielded zero response. Has anybody dealt with someone in SEQ? I'm after both 15 and 25 foot dishes for classica...

Re: Thickness gauge

Hi Wayne. After a bit of research, I ended up buying it from Amazon.com.au. It's a Neoteck digital indicator Model: NKT021, sold by neoteckau Here's the link: https://www.amazon.com.au/Neoteck-Indicator-0-25-4mm-Indicators-Electronic/dp/B01JYCVHLK/ref=asc_df_B01JYCVHLK/?tag=googleshopdsk-22&linkCode...

Thickness gauge

After much umming and ahhing about the cost of a proper gauge and then again in at the potential inaccuracies of a cheaper Chinese offering, I decided to make my own. I could make another one if anyone is interested. It works perfectly and appears to be plenty accurate enough for my purposes. It has...

Thickness Gauge

Has anyone had success purchasing a reasonable quality Chinese thickness gauge with a 300mm throat. Their prices are hard to beat but still represent a waste of time and money if they don't function in the ball park. It's hard to gauge () the quality from pictures over the net. A recommended su...

Drum sanding service in Brisbane

Dear ANZLF members, Although I would love to purchase a drum sander, presently, it's beyond my budget. Does anyone know of a business, in Brisbane, who could drum sand backs and tops to bring down to general thickness requirements? I'm thinking a joinery or cabinet maker's business or Men's shed etc...
