I recall a segment on The Today Show where Tommy responded to a question about the state of the lower bout on his guitar by saying that he had attacked it with some sandpaper. Hope this isnt true.....

Sitting on an oil rig in the Timor Sea.. about 500km north west of Darwin. Wet season up this way so air temp is about 32 degC and humidity is knocking 90%.

Whoa.....check out the guy working on the neck tenon with the chisel. Not exactly the safest way to have a chisel pointed..straight towards his wrist!!!

It has an unusual smell that I've been having trouble describing. Quite pungent, vanillery with overtones of some sort of sweet alcohol. I've had a few people sniff it and no one seems to be able to put their finger on what it is. At one stage I thought it smelled like beer farts after a night on B...
