Nice to meet you Wayne, John, Hank, Perry, Alan and Co. Huge turnout this year, I'm sure the makers would be chuffed at that.

Undersaddle Pickups/

My brain it totally fried from work today So I apologise for this potentially silly question...Can you wire an under saddle pickup to go directly to an input jack (skipping your average acoustic guitar preamp ala fishman presys 201) and then run it through an external DI / External valve preamp? Or ...

Re: Integrate in to your next build perhaps?

Be handy if there existed a physical tool that could be used to track the notes/ chords you are playing on an acoustic/ electric guitar (what notes/string/ if bent/ hammered off/on etc) and then convert those to midi information for import/ export into sibelius or an other piece of composition softw...

The huon looks more like gilding, lovely bass! Do the "flatter" less arched backs require substantially less timber than their arched counterparts? Congrats on the award!

could you use a forsner bit to hog out the majority of the headstock channels? Then get the rest with a router or is that asking for trouble?

Have a chat to Rob (auscab) if you were thinking of going down the used machine path (he's always got an ear to the ground for all things cool and old). Guess it depends if you want it to weigh close to a tonne  .

It will be bloody awful if Abbott gets the taxable threshold lowered to $500...

Next thing he'll be passing some legislation to allow him to use people's super funds to start new mining projects.

I did the main walls and ceiling in about 8 hours with my dad (but we had a few walls that had to be inverted as the plans were wrong). The corners are all butt joints and the center wall joins are tongue ...
