Re: Falbo Intension Bridge
Sure will, I would post them in this thread. Shame you can't post a spectrum graph it is easy stuff to do and many of the members here relate well to that rather than words.frankfalbo wrote:I think it would be alright, but I would appreciate if you reach out to make me aware.

Re: Falbo Intension Bridge
One other thing Frank if one of your guitars makes it to Darwin which only has two commercial guitar outlets (so it may be a long time coming) I will borrow it to get a spectrum graph and a photo to satisfy my own curiosity, is there anything that stops me from publishing that on the www?

Re: Falbo Intension Bridge
Frank,Trent asks "Do you have any frequency response curves of your design that you can share? Also do you have any deflection measurement of the monopole mobility?" You answer in part with this "I cannot give deflection numbers because first, they are meaningless without a benchmark" Trent is refer...

Re: Falbo Intension Bridge
Hmmm if sawing the guitar in half won't help someone to work out what you are doing then how could a photo? I guess I don't understand how patents work as I had assumed they were to stop someone copying what you do.

Re: Falbo Intension Bridge
Any chance of seeing inside the Guitar Frank, surely it will only be a matter of time before someone buys one and puts a image on the www. Do you string up from the outside? Like do you just poke the ball end through those holes and hook it into something?

Wayne, did you screen print that face plate or if not how did you go about the printing?
Greg, same to you where did you get the face plate made? Also did you get my mail?

Re: Amp cabinet
Oh and he did me some useful mods too, he added some sort of cascade preamp and a master volume so you can overdrive the 5E3 at low volume for practice and also a humbucker friendly switch, both switchable mods to get back to the original 5E3.

Re: Amp cabinet
The Rola speaker is not old, not too old anyway Greg. It was made in 2001 by the guy who bought Rola Australia, the buy included some speaker designs as well as stamps and dies so he made 100 speakers that are a 70's design 12peg speaker. As he bought Rola the amp although a popular clone is still a...

Re: Amp cabinet
Nice job. I have just bought a valve amp for the first time. I could have bought it in a 50's style tweed box as it is a 5E3 clone(Fender Tweed deluxe) but I am not so keen on replicas. It is not something I will be giging with so there is no need for the standard black box. The amp is made in Austr...

Shark Tank
While walking through the house to the shed one night a few weeks back as I passed the TV I heard the name "Ormsby Guitars". Curious I looked up to see the Shark Tank panel facing off with Perry so I sat to catch the story. I don't remember the exact details but got a glimpse of the thickness of Per...

Re: Ervin Smoygi Books
I have never read Ervin's books but from other stuff he has published I get the feeling that if you are a beginner and you want to build like Ervin does but you can't get a apprenticeship with Ervin then buy the G & G books and develop your ear from those methods then when you have it right in your ...

Re: Trip to the Beauticians
I wonder what the material was that your beautiful assistant used and what the longer term result was? Dave I asked and he said it was acrylic, I sniffed a bit of off cut and only got a faint sniff of solvent as it dried pretty fast. I didn't see him mix it so it may have been a one pot and I have ...

Yep Jeff you would want to watch out for those spongy pockets it gets and it ain't no fun to cut with that stench it has. It is a nice looking wood though.
