I have noticed price increases as well. I would have thought these will be offset by the higher dollar but it doesnt seem that way. I met a Hurdy Gurdy maker at a medieval carry on about 20 years ago. I dont remember if it was Harry but his instruments had a big sound. Very unique and perfect accompaniment for dancing, drinking etc. I didnt have the 5K needed to buy one....

Actually its a La Prevotte and its made of Birsdeye Maple and Swiss Spruce.

Looks great Frank, well done! Its a bit like building an instrument, its a thrill when it works well and there are years of satisfaction using it.

I built a parlorish guitar after La Prevotte with a Kauri top. I left it a 2.2mm and it sounded great.
