I might be away for a while too

Okay I think my mid life crisis has arrived about 10 years late. yesterday against my better judgement I headed down to my local bike shop and $5000 later came away kitted out with a mountain bike and all the associated accessories required to make a mess of one's self on the side of a mountain. The...

Thanks for putting up the pics Billy...nice work for a first build. A few comments/questions: 1. A stupid question probably but I dont see any indications theres a truss rod in the neck (eg no hole in UTB for allen key to go through and access TR adjuster. 2. What sort of neck/body joint did you use...

Welcome to the forum Billy. Looking forward to pics of your current build. Would be interested to hear how you reconciled some of the different approaches to guitar building contained in Kinkaid and Campiano's books. Eg I tried Kinkaid's top/back clamping caul method and hated it.

Technically were talking laminate rather than plywood arent we? In my mind plywood is at least three layers usually laminated with grain at right angles to each other.

Warning for those planning a visit to the Zoo

A chimpanzee in Sweden stockpiled stones in a pre-meditated plan to hurl them at zoo visitors, according to researchers. Keeper's at Furuvik Zoo discovered the male chimp had built up a collections of rocks - which he had gathered by pulling apart bits of his enclosure - with the intention of later ...

Dom, there's usually a 10kg baggage limit on the choppers out to the Browse Basin jobs Ive been doing of late. By the time you pack your boots and basic work clothes theres not much allowance for anything else.
