Will HHG fix this?

Mate leaned his Fender resonator against a table and the subsequent slip, topple and bash snapped the headstock like a Gibson.
Do you think hot hide glue alone would suffice?

Re: Quiet in here

I lurk on this forum for the purpose of learning about loofering but in light of recent inactivity, I might have to join a ceramics forum and learn about porcelain! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djCU4Pk7pTs

Don't forget to flame it first; the way the Japanese do their soundboards.

Re: FLAMENCO BLANCA

Floorboards never sounded so good! A beautiful guitar, Paul and a joy to play.
Wasn't able to do the "double-blind belly test" though. Mine had so much tasty tucker in it I couldn't separate it from the back of the guitar. Thanks again.

Odd new thing

Not a guitar but a zany instrument nonetheless.

Re: Worlds Smallest V12 engine...

Loved it! Brought back memories of turning crankshafts at BHP. They had much bigger throw, of course, so had to be counter-weighted. Very tricky set-up but highly rewarding.

Blown away

Last night I had the price large to work backstage on a concert by the Australian Chamber Orchestra at Newcastle City Hall. One of the many incredible instruments that was there was a double bass built by Gasparo da Salo in the sixteenth century using woods from the fifteenth century. The sound that...

Re: Is this destined to fail?

I have a top and back that are fairly seriously domed (1m radius). I'm hoping there might be enough give in it to cope. I am also going to make a height-adjustable floating bridge to compensate.
Am I likely to get RH expansion/contraction if it is sealed completely?

PS Thanks for the advice.

Is this destined to fail?

I don't get much time to play at this guitar making lark but when life looks the other way for a moment I run down to the shed and dabble as much as I am able. In doing so, I have been learning from my many mistakes...all except my knack for cracking sides during the bending process. It seems that d...

Re: Missing Mando

Thanks.
Having had my favourite instrument stolen some time ago, I have grown sympathetic to other victims of theft and even keener to see the villains brought to justice.
I hope the outcome is as good as Harry Manx had recently.

Re: voltage converters 240/120

I have a stepdown tranny that I bought from a mob at OZPLAZA online. It was very cheap. I had naively bought a low-cost dehumidifier on Amazon and didn't realise it was 110V.
Anyhoo....despite the craptastic price of both units they have been very good.
