Welcome to the forum Billy. Looking forward to pics of your current build. Would be interested to hear how you reconciled some of the different approaches to guitar building contained in Kinkaid and Campiano's books. Eg I tried Kinkaid's top/back clamping caul method and hated it.

Hi Taffy, April 23rd is a bit too far ahead for me to plan anything concrete. Ive got a job starting for ExxonMobil early April but hopefully that will only run for a few weeks. Technically were talking laminate rather than plywood arent we? In my mind plywood is at least three layers usually laminated with grain at right angles to each other.

Ropes off and a quick run around with the bearing twin flute flush cutter to trim the back overhang. I always draw sequence and direction of cuts on the back before I start.
