When I printed the OM plans from Grellier for mine, they were in .pdf format. This format saves the print and scale settings in real life size. This information is carried in the file format so when its printed with the "Actual Size" setting enabled the plans are printed large on A0 paper. All good....

Aluminum was worth a fortune around 1900 due to electricity being so new and expensive so it was costly to smelt. Brass would have been a lot cheaper.

So here is the result I cleaned up the cut as well as I could to get rid of the titebond. The I heated up the area a bit with the heat gun and wedged as much HHG into the slot as possible. Here is a link to a local supplier for fish glue. I have not purchased this, or used it myself yet, but have considered it.
