Paulownia with recycled WRC striping.
Looks lovely under jam.
Bends easily too!

Re: Myrtle Tenor
I've got a length of OM width Figured Tassie Myrtle from Monaro Timbers that looks identical to that. Was that your source too? Did an OM with it a while back and am in the process of putting a concert uke together with some of it for my son. And am also using Indian rosewood bindings. I love the lo...

Tiger Falcate Concert Uke
Haven't posted anything in donkeys, so I thought I'd chuck this up just to prove I'm still alive. It's the same falcate-concert design that I've been pumping out for a while now. This one has sat around 3/4 finished for over a year, ever since the client decided they didn't have the money anymore. F...

Re: I am going to have a second go.
Sounds identical to the build I'm just about to start. I'm using blackwood (cause that's what the client wants) with recycled WRC top. Would be good to compare notes as we go along. Are you looking at the onboard K&K preamp, cause I need to confirm with them about it's wiring and setup when used wit...

Re: 6 String Tenor Ukulele
I like the cocobolo binding against the tiger myrtle.
It's nice to see something other than tm or black.
I've tried jarrah which was ok but the cocobolo is much better.
Was it your suggestion Allen?

Re: Fish Glue....never again.
I've had issues with fish glue.
The supplier suggested it was due to high humidity during construction.
I was in Alice Springs at the time.
The glue went in the bin.

Really nice work Peter.
I too looked for inspiration from the Lyon & Healy design when I made a mandolin a while back, though I went for an offset design and certainly didn't get as deep into faithful replication as you.

Since you'll already be sending some to Bruce in canberra, I could use 2 as well and just include mine with Bruce's.
We can then split costs, unless his retirement funds are secretly over-inflated.

Re: Gore/Gilet/ Concepts & Falcate Bracing in a Uke Build
Glad you enjoyed it Jim. Since you re-birthed the thread, and since I've had a few queries, here's a bit of where I've gone to with all this. Btw, as I'm essentailly a lazy git, the following is almost directly copied from a reply to a PM from Paul (Ozwood). After a while of playing the falcate uke ...
