Hi Bob,

Wow, fantastic look. Newb question, looks like you ripped and laminated 60mm sections. Is that correct?

Id go plain bindings, there is a lot happening there, but then I havent seen the timber for the soundboard.

Thanks Graham, I was wondering about what happens to the tone when the back and sides are on. It doesnt function as a Helmholz resonator so there is no mathematical way that I could see to work it out. I guess the specifics of each piece of timber would affect the whole equation as well. Again many ...

Thanks Graham, What is most encouraging is the length of the boooing. It gets longer as I remove more but your comments on thickness of KBP have stopped me. Im going to leave it at what it is and cut the holes, add the tonebars etc. I guess it can always be further sanded before final finishing. Seb...

Hi folks, Ive just listened again to the Paganini Caprice #24 as played by Hyun Su Shin on You-Tube. Firstly Paganini should have been shot for devising something as technically difficult, secondly she plays it beautifully. This site is really incredible. Hi Jaz,

They sound wonderful. Not as "nasal" as some cellos Ive heard. What a buzz, to have your instruments played at the Con! Apart from the lines I could not tell the difference between the instruments on these recordings, very interesting.

When the OPEC forum was on here in Sydney we had a couple of brilliant pieces in the local press.
