Re: Bushwhacker Ukulele builds.
Thank you that you like my circle cutter. I am on a new build now. I have used the Martin soprano crucial measurements but Brought the bouts in and made it more slender and Nunes style. I used Polycarbonate to make the template and hardwood for the mould.I really like this shape. All spars, and the s...

Martin. With the deepest respect to you and all Admin. I am Miffed with some of the replies I have received. I am now at the stage of going it alone. Rope bindings advice please
I like the old style rope bindings applied to some of the old Nunes Ukuleles. Cannot seem to find anything similar that is obtainable. Can anybody please give me some advice on how this striking binding was made? I would like to have a go. At a guess I woukd say that alternating coloured strips of w...

Those were lovely words Ross.
Yeah I guess there are a good many of us riddled with ailments, myself included but don't want to go there.
I share wholeheartedly your views that getting on with some Lutherie and discussing it all here is a great great form of medication.

Iain, Many thanks for clearing that one up for me. Great tip on Duck Duck Go. I will go there instead of Google. I have nothing to hide believe me but I do not like my whole browsing experience being permanently logged. The trouble is they are so big now that complaints will be binned as petty bicke...

Martin.
The guitar is absolutely beautiful.
You must feel so proud of yourself.
I like the swept back compensated bridge design.
Must have been a swear to get the bend on the cut out?
Lovely work.

Ah okay.
Perhaps I cannot get them in the text box because of the size.
I will have a look to see if there is a similar App for Android users.

Re: Bushwhacker Ukulele builds.
Tomorrow when it is daylight I will post a few pics of my Soprano Ukulele bridge clamp made on the cheap and avoiding StewMac with the postage. Bridge clamps ( to my mind ) come in as expensive and then I have to gamble if they 'd fit. This bugger "Does fit" and is made specifically and designed to ...

Bushwhacker Ukulele builds.
I am but a humble and inspired Git that loves to have a go at instrument making. I go on one particular model and that is the Martin 0 series Soprano Ukulele. All my tools and jigs are orientated to make this one instrument as it is close to my heart. I have limited funds and facilities due to my me...

Re: Which is the best Guitar?
I think I agree with Steve regardless of fequencies. At the end of the day there is no "best " guitar. It is all subjectional. There is no "best " anything. The "best" is what that particular person picks up and prefers to anything else. I once ( decades ago ) picked up an original Jose Ramirez flam...

Andos. What a beautiful Ukulele you have built. I simply love that shape of Uke. It looks so beautifully feminine and also Martin. ( that is a compliment. ) As to your cirlcle cutters, they are magnificent. I do not have the machines to make such so have had to make do with hand made wooden bodied c...
