Hi Bob,
Wow, fantastic look. Newb question, looks like you ripped and laminated 60mm sections. Is that correct?
Id go plain bindings, there is a lot happening there, but then I havent seen the timber for the soundboard.

The thing that concerns me about so much negative feelings against Bush is it really colors the real danger in the American political system. I feel like there's such a backlash against Republicans that everybodies running to vote Democrat instead of realizing theyre both hangin from the same corpo...

Thanks Graham, I was wondering about what happens to the tone when the back and sides are on. It doesnt function as a Helmholz resonator so there is no mathematical way that I could see to work it out. I guess the specifics of each piece of timber would affect the whole equation as well. Again many ...

Thanks Graham, What is most encouraging is the length of the boooing. It gets longer as I remove more but your comments on thickness of KBP have stopped me. Im going to leave it at what it is and cut the holes, add the tonebars etc. I guess it can always be further sanded before final finishing. Seb...

Hi folks, Ive just listened again to the Paganini Caprice #24 as played by Hyun Su Shin on You-Tube. Firstly Paganini should have been shot for devising something as technically difficult, secondly she plays it beautifully. This site is really incredible. There is Jascha Heifitz, Menhuin, Rostrapovi...

Hi Hesh, Firstly, a guitar to lust over, your workmanship makes me look like a total noob. Very, very well done and great advice about detail from Bob. I call the whole process the dojo of the shed where I run into my character flaws. My main challenge is patience. Now the question, 1000 watt sub wo...

When the OPEC forum was on here in Sydney we had a couple of brilliant pieces in the local press. My favourite was from Philip Adams who claimed the wall a success because it kept the war criminals in and away from the general population. There is a good case to be made that Bush, Cheney, Howard and...

Go Kim, say it like it is mate! There was an obit in yesterdays Sun Herald by Thomas Keneally, really worth reading. His ending line is something like "Now we dont have to hate each other any more". Hi everyone, I thought Id lower the tone of the list with a couple of dumb questions about adhesives. Googling has not yet brought me the answers. Ive used Titebond 2 almost exclusively. I read on MIMF that it can creep. Now, Ive been called that a few times but never found out what it means in a Lu...
