Hi Mark, I am planning to build a bass with a similar body. A little different with regard to cause but I had planned to seperate the two sides. I don't believe I would on a guitar however. . . no science just a thought. Funny, I plan to place the jack on the front. Watching this closely. Thanks Rob...

If you know someone that works around a commercial floor scrubber they have a 2/1/2" puchout in the ceter of their pads.

I'd make up a 'dummy' plate, What a great solution Nick. I was thinking small holes around the broken screw and then fish the broken bit out. Or there is a pipe type drill bit that can be bought or made that drills a larger hole around the broken screw. Both of these leave a bigger repair job after...

Could have been a planned project that never launched. . . I would check the bridge holes to have some comfort they were drilled correctly before I did a lot with it.
