Hi Allen,
Do you radius the backs of your ukulele's & if so, what radius?
As usual you've hit the mark with the choice of woods for this build, also the way you achieve such a high degree of finish on you're instruments just gives them that extra 'wow' factor.
Pleasure to see great workmanship.

How about using a Hot clothes iron, applied over a damp cloth?
It might be enough to release the veneer, but then it might cause it to curl as well.

Chappy,
You gotta be happy with that, first build, very impressive.
There's something about tiger myrtle, it just looks great.
May you keep churning them out with the same quality, congratulations.

Allen,
I don't care what anyone else says - that is disgusting. . . disgustingly good
It would'nt matter what combo of timber/wood you utilise, it sings.
Nice timber stand too.
Well done again. . .

WP_20130514_002[1].jpg Hi Wayne, reinforce which part of the neck? Truss rod cover is traditionally screwed in place but you could use neodymiums. Alternatively...

Truss rod installation.
Hi everyone, My current build in progress is an OM cut-a-way, with the truss rod access at the nut as per the plans. A few questions please: 1/ What keeps this truss rod in place from moving up the neck (away from the sound-hole)? 2/ How do members re-inforce this part of the neck? 3/ How is the tru...

Tim,
That's brilliant, you've got some clever ideas (jigs).
I enjoy watching you're demo's.

What gauge strings did you end up using?
Thanks for any info.
