Thanks for your replies. As I don't have access to spray gear I will try my luck
with a wipe on finish.

Has anyone any advice that they would care to pass on with bending Macassar mahogany?
I recently purchased some on ebay with the intention of making an OM style guitar. I understand
that this is plantation grown mahogany from Sulawesi Indonesia.
