Thanks Trevor, I may cut the tops where they joined and do the standard testing. That's an interesting link!

Thicknessing a joined top

Hey, I bought a couple of these Martin seconds kits to fool around with and the tops are already joined and cut to shape pretty much, is there a good way to determine a target thickness for these?
Thanks, Scott

Top Mass

Hey Trevor, in the design book on page 4-63 you mention that a couple of top woods in the chart (4.5-3)has to much mass to be a master grade guitar, is there somewhere in the book that explains the amount of acceptable mass? BTW I just did the procedure to find the top thickness on my first Engleman...

Re: Plans for a double neck acoustic guitar

Interesting idea but, I don't think a double neck acoustic guitar will work unless you tune both necks to the same key and played only in that key and not standard tuning because the open strings would ring on the neck not being played. On the electric models there is a pickup selector so you only h...

Re: Classes

Dom, I would have to fly in from the USA, (which would really be worth it) I need some notice to get a decent airfare and hotel. But so far I think it's only the two of us that have any interest. If others are interested please speak up!

Hey Dom, I always set my sights way high, it sounded to me as if the falcate classical is the favorite, and as usual I want to shoot for the best! I really don't want to reinvent the wheel if someone has already done that, I thought I might get to start with a "copy" of the best, but there is a comp...
