Yeah....what everybody else said ....just beautiful. How did you keep the binding so light ? It looks like timber and stain penetrates even under tape ?

I shouldn,t be allowed anywhere near imperial .I ballsed up the decimal foot, should be 3in.=.25 6in.= .5 ........

I just received orders from LMII ,stewmac and Bob Gollihur .Dhl ,fedex and usps were the carriers , none needed more money this end . All my orders under $300 . DHL and fedex took less than a week . Nice work Rod .I can appreciate what you've accomplished, I've started an archtop as well . I see an endpin jack . Are you using a transducer ? I ordered McIntyre Feather and want to fit it before assembly but am worried about optium position. can it be positioned after ? How ? Anybody ?

As Kim says, seal it with shellac first and you should be OK. This is standard practice in the antique restoration game. Lacquer is very sensitive to "foreign body". If the surface isn't clean you'll get "reaction". This takes the form of tiny pin bubbles that are imposssible to sand away and recoat...
