Got this lot, 50 pcs from 1/32 to 1/8 inch delivered from the US for $53. Likely all I'll need in my inlaying career. 1/8th inch shank to fit your Dremel or similar. Off ebay. The guy's handle is drillman1 if anyone is interested, he's got lots of stuff. For a buck a piece I thought it was good inv...

Hence, this is a builders forum. Not a place for collectors having a wank about their latest purchase of some super rare (put any brand name you like here) or vintage instrument. If you feel the need though, then the "Anything Goes" section is where you'd post. There seems to be a lot of mast...

Re: Big Boy sanders and fingers don't mix

Dan I sympathise with you as I did something similar when I was doing my apprenticeship many years ago :( I had only been at work for two weeks and I was on a linisher and was sanding some table legs with a 60 grit belt when I slipped and touched the belt with my knuckles on my right hand, I remembe...

Re: fruity wood

Jeffrey love the look of the Rambutan it looks a little like Koa is it related? Does it grow anywhere else? Also as I never heard of it is it easy to work (bend etc) and is it common to have curl in the timber? Also never heard of Durian whats its like to work? Should make some lovely guitars :) All...

Nice to read about you Bob and the great musical instruments that you make :)

I too hope that they can help you out in the future as it would be a great loss if you couldn't carry on turning out such wonderful guitars :(

Re: BWB Plus Blackwood Bindings Part 1 & 2

I've just finished binding an OM by hand. The first lot of bindings had the perflings glued on using Titebond II and they came apart in quite a few places and the perflings snapped - so I remade them. I used Titebond III on the next lot - same timber and veneers - these were great no problems :D Dave
