Are you also are after a measurement for the position of the 14th fret relative to to front face of the nut? You can go to Stewmac's fret position calculator and it will tell you. I think for a 631mm scale length it was very close to 350mm.

Good on the bloke for having a go and trying something different. I would however like to see how he measured the vibrations getting out onto the soundboard very quickly which help to clarify the sound

Re: Further J45 questions
1 I'm assuming the dimension of the bolt on/off headblock are a bit bigger that actually required and the 100 mm depth is to be trimmed to fit to the brace (78 mm or something like). The plan seems to indicate a 30 mm thickness while the book requires 35 mm. Is this thickness actually critical as l...

Hi I just had a look at the metadata of the first photo in your post and it says to rotate 180 degrees, that is why it's upside down! This was actually a big issue with the iPad in the early days when developers forgot to account for Lefties. The normal orientation for taking a photo with an iPad is...

I wouldn't use 5 minute epoxy...Ive found the quality of the Selly's and other quick epoxies not that great and if you need to do any unplanned adjustments you might find yourself in a bind. The 5 minute stuff also doesn't gap fill as well as the Techniglue. Carbatec stock Techniglue. I was plannin...

Throw it away, it isn't worth the effort. It is frustrating, I have done it and tried to repair with epoxy or CA and it just turns out horrible.
