Hi George,
i used a traditional recipe, shellac and ethanol, with mastic, benzoin and sandarac gums added. the gums are very cheap on ebay.
do not build a blody coffee table, just build a guitar, there is plenty of good instruction available, and it is a great journey

the examples he gave are terrible. what music uses this? why not just eliminate frets like a violin then? this kind of think will always have small interest, and sometimes be pushed by some academic for their own gain.

in my experience in classical gutiars, Presto cases are terrible. they are heavy as hell - and too rigid, so when the guitar is dropped, the guitar will absorb the shock, as also they are not padded enough for shock absorbtion. most guitar damage happens in transit, baggage staff throw guitars acros...
