Peghead that is….

This is the third broken neck job I have had to repair this week. Some guitarists must have partied hard over Christmas.

That one looks particularly nasty, seems to be some timber missing. Please keep us updated with this one, I'd like to see how you repair it.

Sort of proves the fact that a glue joint is stronger than the wood.

I would say that one has been to a party and leant against a wall and a drunk fell on it

Your going to need splines in that one, similiar to this one, I grabbed the pic of one of my tutorial pages

I thought that there would not be enough gluing area for a strong enough joint even with the cleats, so I planned to go down the, splice the old peghead back on or a new peghead spliced onto the neck, path, I've done it both ways in the past.

A bit like this.....
