Hi guys
What a responce, I'm overwelmed thanks for the welcome. You must all have your computers running on the bench to get back so quick.
Anyway the jargon I refered to was associated with this site/forum, looks like I can communicate without full understanding of it tho.
The jargon used in the luthery world I'm ok with. I worked on my first instruments way, way back in late 1950 early 1960's in UK. Started what I do now in about 1974 in Alice Springs NT. Built and still play my first acoustic guitar in 1977.
In all that time I could count the number of other builders I've talked to on one hand, with out using the thumb. And that includes a 12000km trip with my son [he was 12 years at the time, he's 42 now] from the "Alice" to Melbourne armed with a list of builders. So it feels good to belong.
Talk to ya later. Taffy

That's a very interesting background Taff. thanks . I'll bet you have a few stories you can pass on .

It's great to have a character such as yourself aboard. Have you been using Australian woods ?
