Hey, guys, Been a while since I have posted. Thought I'd show my face and ask a question
I have been french polishing a lot of instruments.... and I am becoming very sick of it! I do love the method, but it is just not practical for the amount of time I have on my hands at this point in time.
So my question is, what nitro based lacquers are you guys using? I want something similar to old school martin style finish... I have not done a whole lot of research into spraying lacquers but when I have I have come up with nothing. So any input will be helpful, thanks!
Here is some stuff I'm working on:
Lacquer
Re: Lacquer
Most of the Aussies and Kiwis will be using Mirotone 3220 lacquer as its relativey easy to source and easy to use. If you search the forum you will find lots of info about it's application going back over the entire time the forum has been in operation.
