I’m only a newbie Martin, but I’ve very quickly come to understand that your input into this forum has been huge and wouldn’t be what it is without you. I’ve also appreciated the warm welcome you gave me, and all the beautiful tools you sent my way!

Hopefully you’ll still be sticking around, but without the headache of moderating.

I may pop in from time to time but to be honest Tom my heart is no longer in guitar making. Events of late have forced a life re-focus.

I'm glad some of my tools went to someone who's going to put them to good use.

After 10,896 posts!
That is a mighty contribution, and I remember when many of them were written while you were on oil rigs!
You took us all on an epic journey building a f##@* lute. Plus the leadership role you have played of late, keeping the whole show going. Legendary stuff!
Thanks for everything Martin.
Try to come back often enough to get that total up to 11,000
Cheers
Mark

That’s fair enough! There’s more to life than guitars.

I’ll try to do your tools justice.

The lute hasn't been strung up yet...it's the only instrument left in what is now a very empty workshop. Ill get around to stringing up the instrument one day...maybe in time for someone to play it at my funeral :)

Thanks for everything. We all appreciate the effort put in.

Am facing a similar situation - and not from choice.

As someone said hope the next thing goes well.

Thanks Martin for all the hard work you have done in keeping this valuable resource up and running.

Great to have met you and help with 'emptying your workshop' - the tools and books are already being put to work.

Best of luck putting the new found empty space to use.

Cheers,

Iain

Jeremy must take at least half of the credit...he's the quiet guy in the background keeping things ticking away server side.
