One week now since I came back from work so I now have my sanity back along with enough energy to get back in the workshop. Current projects include a classical undergoing french polishing (Pic 1) and back bracing on a 12 string dreadnaught (Pics 2 and 3).
The above guitar has had a troubled life right from birth. The back had to be replaced due to failed bracing and then the french polish job went horribly wrong after some oil got trapped in the rosewood pores while rubbing back. had to go back to bare wood and start again....three times. This time I seem to have got it right...gave the wood a good clean with naptha before starting again.
Goings on in the workshop
