Batson Bracing

I don't know if anybody is familiar with their guitars but I was cruisin' the net when I came across these guys.

The guitars have a few interesting tweaks least of all the bracing method, just wondered what peoples thoughts were about their method, it all sounds good but I just wonder if there is indeed much plate stiffness 'released' with this system. By the time you added up the two cross sectional area's there's probably not a hell of a lot of difference in the actual amount of bracing material between conventional 'beam' bracing and their system, if any on conventional scalloped bracing.
Interesting sound they produce too, slightly banjoey? A bantar or guitjo.
"Jesus Loves You."
Nice to hear in church but not in a Mexican prison.

I've seen them before too Nick. I though the sound was very nice, great folk sound, seemed quiet though.
