Instrument makers at maldon folk festival

Post by jackspira » Sun Oct 28, 2007 12:53 pm

For everyone in driving distance of central Victoria ( apologies to everyone who's not!)
There is a good exhibition of local instrument makers at the Maldon folk festival next weekend, 3rd and 4th of November.
Its about two hours north of Melbourne and well worth it I reckon. There's usually between ten and twenty instrument makers there. Including guitar, harp, mandolin, acordian, whistle, violin, lyre and many others.
The exhibition is open in daylight hours in the centre of the town and is free to get in.

An honour to have you with us Jack. Welcome to the ANZLF.

Thanks for the heads up, I would love drop in to the festival but the drive is a little out of my way being that I am in Perth. But I really do look forward to your future input here, you have much to offer as one of Australia's premier instrument builders.

Cheers

Kim

I might try and make it up next weekend Jack.

Are you going to be showing at Port Fairy this year?

Dave and I are hoping to be there with some of our instruments.

Wow, thanks Kim and DaveAndy, what an intro! Theres no way I can live up to it, but feel free to flatter me anytime!
I will be at Port Fairy Bob, hopefully, if I get in. I look foward to meeting your guitars! and yourself too of coarse....
If you do make it to Maldon it'd be great if you bring an instrument to show around
Thanks again!
Jack
