Shame.... shame.... shame......, those speakers are way to close together Hesh...... tsk..... tsk....

Nice guitars! Where are the practise ones? you know, the ones where you slipped and gouged a bit out of the side or cut the fret just out of place, you must have been a learner once, you're only showing us the classy stuff,

Sebastiaan

Sebastiaan I'll never tell... :)

These are all very playable and if I could have only one guitar I would be happy with any of them. :)

I call this my 401K for retirement......

So when do you have to start looking for a bigger place?

Very nice Hesh. Are there many body styles there. It's hard to tell from the picts.

You have every right to be so proud Hesh !

Let's face it , that's quite an achievement . All those beautiful guitars lined up , carefully skilled by yourself. Superb mate !

Cheers , Craig

OOOh, thanks Hesh, you've given me an idea now- seeing the pics again reminds me that there is a dead space in my house, 80cm wide, where I could make a guitar rack for a few of my own...Fnar Fnar...

Awesome display compadre, noth'in to be ashamed of there .....however, probably just the image, but the truss rod on the hog guitar, the closest one in the top image, looks like it could do with nipping up a little to pull some relief out, send her over and I'll sort it for you M8 :D

Cheers

Perhaps I should explain a few things to our newer members regarding the Heshmeister's background.

Hesh lives in a condo, and has spent the majority of his guitar building career working in his toilet/bathroom ,building these things. ( and you think YOU have a confined space ! )

Hence the term " Flushtone " rather than Heshtone.

What about showing your best picture of your old shop Hesh ?

Flushtone

Post by Hesh1956 » Sun Nov 11, 2007 2:11 am

Thank you Craig my freind. I built my first 10 guitars in my second bathroom. Here are some shots. BTW, a space like a bathroom is very easy to keep the RH right since it was small and the surfaces were designed for well bathroom use.

Great souvenirs, where's the kleenex box when you need it?

Yup , that's my bro, master of the flushtone, i'm really thinking that the water in the toilet must have played a role in the fluid sound that i get from the guitar he gave me! :rolf

Shame on you bro for teasing our eyes this way, what a nice stinkin' lookin' wall, yup, got a few years of Holiday inn stayin' when you're too old to look at the nurse there, HA! :rolf

Thanks Serge!

Billy you know that I share the place with Sony

Seriously - the linoleum in this stinking condo stains when it comes in contact, over time, with rubberish things like the feet on my bathroom scale. My cart/workbench did it too. And it is not a surface stain either because I can't even sand it out....... So it has to be some chemical reaction.

But I assure it is NOT poop or pee.

Geeze...... the things that you have to take pictures of around here to prove your manhood........

Sam it is indeed a pretty large bathroom. When I moved in here right after the place was built 9 years ago I didn't like the feel of the big bathroom so I never used it. Then it became a storage room and later my first shop.

There is something very comfy about small shops with everything in easy reach. They are also easier to get and keep a stable RH.

Being organized so that you are not tripping over things is the trick. My towel rods were used to hold lined up clamps, etc. The toilet paper roll holder held masking tape and the Stew-Mac brown tape....... My shower became wood storage and the shop vac lived there too.

How many people have a compressor in their bathtub...... I did :D

Sadly the guitars that I built in the bathroom sounded better then the guitars that I build now in a larger, carpeted room. Bathroom acoustics are better. Kind of like singing in the shower......

Dont let him kid ya guys!
THE BLACK TOP GUITAR SOUNDS THE BEST!
Matter of fact, I would put that guitar in the top 10 of all acoustics that I have played. It has some serious mojo, and im not just saying that, you should hear it in person.

Oh, hey there! My name is lance :D

Hi Lance!

That is really a knock out! Besides your level of craftsmanship, I know my waterborne finishes will NEVER look like that!
