I was wondering about surface contamination from the foam , should it be covered? It will be easy enough to make slip covers for the pieces, but why bother if it isn't necessary.

I need to add another set of spring hinges. The ones I found at the Borg really aren't that strong. I'm also going to paint the base plate with textured paint, to have a better grip. Other than painting, its done.

Rod did a great job with the instructions. If I can follow them, anyone can. Having played with it a bit, I can only say that if you have the inclination, make one. It will be well worth the time, money and effort.

Hi Lillian,

Seeing as I've only just made mine I don't have much (if any) wisdom on the foam issue. BUT seeing as Jean Larrivee and Sergei Dejonge have been using them for many many years with nothing other than the foam (ie: no slip cover) I would think there's nothing to worry about.

Shoot some pics, we'd love to see the Troji.

Oh and thanks for the thumbs up :)
