Hi Down Under,

my name is Alex, I am 33, studied guitarmaking in Germany, where i was also born and am living and working.
I worked with Ervin Somogy, Stefan Hahl http://www.hahl-guitars.com, as a teacher for guitarmaking in Norway, as a repairmen for
http://www.musicstore.de and currently earn (most of) my money at http://www.mehling-wiesmann.de. Beside this, I have my workshop.

I am reading here already for a while, and now I thought it is time to say hello.

Hi Alex,

Welcome to the forum !!!! I think I can speak on behalf of the folk on here and say Holy S*#T you have worked with Ervin Somogyi !!!! that is amazing what a privilege. Some awesome looking tonewood you have there.
looking forward to picking your brain on all things guitar related.
The Lads might move your post to the main page.

Cheers,

Christian.

Hi Alex, welcome!

Some of your mates have really wild hair styles!

(Don't worry, you'll get used to the humour...maybe...)

The boys are right, after seeing that funny photo your moniker should be "Hair Dalbergia"... welcome aboard. Great pedigree too.

Welcome to the forum Alex, a slightly different 'colonial' feel to this forum but far less formal & we don't take ourselves too seriously, so once you get used to the humour I hope you enjoy hanging out here. Sounds as though you know what you're doing around guitars ( ) so we look forward to your valuable input.

Nice, very very nice, exactly my kind of humor (not avarage for Germans at all....)

This Punk Boy is Paolo, our wood-sales agent from Italy, I will send him this pictures immediatelly, no one of us ever noticed that he has a very buisness like haircut...it was on a fair in Cologne.
Anyhow, thank you for your welcome words.

Cheers, alex

Gday Alex, welcome to the ANZLF 8)

I have moved your topic intro into the main forum so that more of us will see it and have the chance to say hello.

Looking forward to seeing images of your finished creations posted in the Gallery forum and your input toward the knowledge base and humour we like to share.

Cheers

Kim

Hey there Alex. Never take them too seriously. The only thing serious about this place is guitar building.
