Heads up on laminate trimmer

Post by Jeremy D » Sat Apr 28, 2012 12:13 pm

Hi Guys,

Not sure if this is of interest to anybody.

I was looking for a reasonably priced laminate trimmer to use for my first build. I was looking at the Maktec's that you guys have mentioned on here before but the local supplier was out of stock. I found this one at trade tools http://tradetools.com/products/RI350T. I did a bit of reading on the wood working forums and seems to be all positive. Picked one up this morning with a flush cut bit and tested it out trimming the plates on my freshly closed box. I have to say it is a little gem. Comes in a nice metal box with a straight fence and seems to function very well. They are actually on special for 78 bucks for 1 more week so if anyone is looking for a cheap trimmer it seems to be the business.

Cheers have a great weekend.
