Weekend At Uncle Bob's (Pics)

Post by Hesh1956 » Wed Feb 13, 2008 2:26 pm

A bunch of us met in Buffalo at Uncle Bob's (Zootman) new zoot cave this past week end. It was a great time for all and most of the folks here were from the group that met in Ft. Erie, Ontario in the summer of 2006. So it was a bit of a reunion of sorts and in keeping with the tradition set in Ft. Erie a guitar was given away as well.

I thought that my ANZLF pals might enjoy seeing some pics of this event.

First of all the new zoot cave is packed from floor to ceiling with the most beautiful wood that I have ever seen and also the most that I have seen in one place.

Then we had the presentation of a just completed Heshtone SJ to my dear friend Anthony.

This may surprise some of you but in person I tend to be a practical joker........ :D

Here is Uncle Bob playing Anthony's new SJ

Bob's shop is exceptional in all respects and includes some serious tools including a Laguna 4.5 band saw.

And everyone wanted to get in the act helping Bob resaw some wood.

That was JJ and Anthony above.

Above we see JJ, Bob, and Anthony - don't you think that JJ has a rather proud look on his face...... :D

Here is Bob resawing some beautiful Nara.

And by the end of the day it was decided that in terms of wood Bob wins......... :D

Thanks for looking!!!

Looks like you blokes had a great weekend and that is definitely the first published photo of Hesh with a smile on his face.

I guess all of that fine lumber would give a little woody but I think JJ wins.

Very nice, Hesh.

Yes, a woodie contest with Bob Cefalu will leave a mere mortal man looking like, well, a mere mortal.

Hesh, you really do need a wood stretcher!
