Goings on in the shop

Post by kiwigeo » Mon Feb 25, 2008 9:42 pm

Not alot of activity in the shop of late. When the price of oil tops $US100 I get busy and the cobwebs start to gather on the workshop. Anyway Ive told the boss Im "unavailable" for the next 4 weeks so theres finally a bit happening in the shop:

The Hauser Classical...third back glued in. The first back lost its arch and had to be replaced. The french polish on the second back then failed due to oil contamination so it was onto back no 3. Do you think Ive got enough clamps on that back???

Shaping back braces in back no 3.

An early Christmas....20 lovely Englemann spruce tops from Graham Hein. The guy's tops are top grade and dirt cheap.

The shop.....getting a bit crowded with recent tonewood purchases..time to get some serious shelving in.

I reckon you deserve a month in there after the amount of time you've spent out on the rigs lately Martin.

Enjoy.

I look forward to seeing your progress.

Oh boy you've got a great shop Martin. The boss would have a hell of a time dragging me from there. Good luck this time around.
