Anyone see the new Veritas plane?

Anyone just see the new Veritas mini block plane in the new Carbatec catalog? I can see a million possibilities for this little guy, I think I'll grab one on my way back from work tomorrow

It looks pretty nifty and all but I reckon they could have dressed up the crosshead screw setting the cap down with something that looks a little more refined in the promo images than a left over chipboard fastener...That doesn't bother me enough to stop me wanting one in the Xmas stocking though Marty.

Hmmmm, $55.00 AUS on the Carbatec.AU site, go to the New Zealand site & it jumps to $77NZ
Doing a currency conversion $55AUS comes to only $68NZ I know it's only a nine buck difference & I'll probably still get one,but I still get that feeling of being screwed again.
Now where did I leave that rough end of the pineapple?

Ordered one just after seeing this and asked the question at the same time as to why a difference in the price, this was the answer I received back,
"With regard to the price difference there are a few considerations..freight to NZ,
NZ landing charges, Gst in NZ is 5% than Australia and these types of add ons
make up the difference in the addvertised prices"

It seems that Carbatec Aus buy for both countries then we ship them in from Brissy, doubling the amount of shipping these things undergo. .
