One for the mods possibility..Malware warning?

Post by Kamusur » Tue Mar 05, 2013 8:22 pm

Markus always has something interesting to say so was just about to open his subject on clamps in Jigs and Fixtures but got a Malware warning. I know it would be nothing to do with Markus ...so just wondering if it was my computer or anyone else has had the same warning.. I have had it twice today. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Sorry to alarm anyone/everyone but I reckon its better to be safe than sorry.

Steve

No warnings here Steve, maybe your Anti Virus software settings are a bit over cautious? Although there's nothing apart from a bit of text & a few pics in the post so not sure why any software would pick it up.

Thank Steve and Matts you for the warning.

Indeed, my server has suffered an intrusion (fortunately only a minor one) on the 3.3.2013 which is solved now and all safety measures were taken. Sorry for the inconvenience!

No files that can be accessed via the ANZLF have been affected though, which means that viewing my posts on the ANZLF with pictures hosted on my server was safe at every single moment.

Using the online tool http://www.virustotal.com, out of 46 anti-virus programs only the following 8 could detect the problem:
  • BitDefender
  • F-Secure
  • GData
  • Kaspersky
  • MicroWorld-eScan
  • Norman
  • nProtect
  • VIPRE
Neither Symantec (Norton) nor McAfee can see a problem with the offending piece of code that had been attached to some html files!

And now, finally google took my domain name off their blacklist.

Maybe. I never have used Symantec (= Norton) software of any kind.
