Video of Uke Kit Prep

Post by Allen » Thu Apr 25, 2013 8:27 am

Just finished compiling some footage that we shot of this years prep of kits for some upcoming classes that Micheal Connor and I will be instructing. Liam and I drove down to NSW and spent 10 days at Micheal's having a great time in the shed. Came back with a ute load full of bit's and pieces, plus a compressor for Liam. Now he doesn't have to wait for a weekend to come out to my place in order to spray some lacquer.

The soundtrack was provided by Herman Vandecauter who is a very gifted player of most things with strings.

Excellent !
Makes me want to turn up again :D
The course is an absolutely brilliant introduction to this thoroughly enjoyable and addictive (obsessive maybe?) game.

Good luck for this year and thanks for the last one :cl

Great video. Makes me sad I can't be there again this year. Maybe next year.
All the best for this year's course guys. I'm sure it will be another triumph

Cairns Uke Festival is the first weekend of July.

Looks like a lot of work, but as you might expect, there was some serious beer drinking going on the end of each day. :D

Great Video thanks , I like Micheal's machinery .
I spotted something I want in my workshop, I have two heavy duty rollers already which have bases of concrete about 450 x 450 x 125 so they don't shift with a bump but they don't have the fine adjustment like Micheal's.
Great idea :)

You really were paying attention Rob. I edited out some of the footage where Micheal was feeding that rather large piece of mahogany over the jointer and getting Liam to adjust the height of those rollers.

Some great vid there. Really helpful to me. Thanks! :cl
