That is sad news. He was an innovative guitar player and all round very nice fella. I got to meet him at one of the Blues And Roots Festival's at Byron Bay a few years back. I have his slide tutor dvds and he was an inspiration to me.

RIP Bob.

Yes sad news indeed, Bob must have passed on playing techniques to many players that opened the door for them to the next level. He was a great player and teacher and will be sadly missed. :(

Geez I wish I'd caught up with this guy's work earlier. Just watched a stack of stuff on youtube. This was my favourite quote, humble, but I resonated with it (no pun intended).
I'm really not a very good guitar player. In fact, a long time ago I decided to stop playing guitar... and start playing music.
RIP Bob Brozman. :(

Damn, I'm 59 years old. I seem so young to me.

That band in the sky just got a little bit better.

He wrote some interesting tutorials for Guitar Player in the earlier days and he was pretty approachable at gigs as well.

What sad news, I remember meeting him at a Townsville gig and mentioned that I had a resonator guitar in the car I had just finished, and he took the trouble to leave the theater and come down to the car to check it out. Sad loss.

Just discovering the topic, and I must say it's very very sad news. I've been planning for years to see that guy playing live, and never had the opportunity.
One of the most respectable and enjoyable musician of those last decades IMHO.
Too bad...

Saw him play on his last visit to Canberra, I was blown away by his love for slide guitars and his mastery of them. Decided to name my new weissenborn "Bob".
