Polishing Bote Cote?

Post by sebastiaan56 » Mon Oct 28, 2013 10:59 am

I have an instrument under construction and up to the pore filling scraping, pore filling scraping bit. Like some others I have gone from West systems to Bote Cote. Its nowhere near as toxic and much easier to use. Looking at the beastie last night I got to wondering if the Bote Cote could be polished rather than adding more layers of varnish etc. I have previously used Tru Oil. The soundboard will be shellaced. Does anyone have experience with this? suggestions?
