Do you have to re-set the neck at any point Matt?

Normally, no. The bridge height and saddle are more easily adjustable.

My bass neck is removable to allow easier travel!

Sometime a glued neck is reset to a lower angle if the top gets choked by too much pressure or if the top is inherently weak. And sometimes, another lutjier will look at this shallower angle and say yuk, that's not right. The neck needs resetting to get the proper string angle.

And so it goes.

I like the idea of a guitar with a floating fingerboard to keep the soundboard looser.
