Grover Uke Friction Pegs - Orientation of Outer Bushing

Post by sam » Wed Feb 05, 2014 8:09 am

I've been installing the Grover friction pegs on my first uke (photos to come). As noted by others, if outer bushing is installed
as per photo (with raised boss outwards) the assembly screw will not be long enough to engage threads in upper spindle -
even at minimum peg head thickness.

I have reversed the upper bushing and have engaged the boss in the peg hole, which seems more mechanically sound, as
well as allowing for assembly screw engagement. Fibre washers have been installed as shown.

I'd appreciate any comments.
