What's the sense in this sort of childish crap? Am I missing something?

For the record I have not voted.

It's called a piss take.....an old Australian tradition.

The fact you don't quite get the poll is a good thing..it means you've never had dealings with Mario da Costa.

For the record i've been part of the pisstake :bum , although i'm not acquainted with the Dacosta person, by partaking in the said pisstake :bum i feel that i'm affirming my confidence in the aforementioned four suspected luthiers, that they are in fact capable of making sawdust in an enclosed environment.

Hot off the press.....another option to be added to the poll.

In Mario's latest spew session we are described as "Luthier Groupies".

Ditto Rod, but i loved the second last option   Not fit to use such fine wood as M

On a more serious note the service from the recommended suppliers Tim, Graham, Bob and Peter has been beyond first class with no questions asked. I wouldn't be bothered with taking a gamble elsewhere.
In my dealings with them they just want the buyer to be happy and they all sell damned good products imho. In one instance after purchasing a b&s set the supplier noticed that the timber was not properly seasoned and suggested that it may possibly warp on its journey from the US and he would rather not sell it, i have never heard, seen, or experienced such a high degree of customer service as that anywhere, christ it was unsolicited i wasn't bitching he pointed it out to me!

I recommend reading Kims response which puts a lot of this into perspective and i'm certain none of the suppliers named above would have the audacity to open private and personally addressed mail, which would be a crime in the analogue world.

Unfortunately the poll is set up to include Bob and Martin and Kim, who don't make wall hangings like I do, and therefore I was unable to select that option.

I would, however, be honored to be included in a group called the "Bad Dingoes" including these guys. I'll play tambourine.

No, I've never dealt with and I stopped following the other thread after one quick look, so I may have been left a bit behind on whatever's going on. It (the other thread) just seemed to me like personal gripes between people who got ripped off by a bad vendor and I just filed the name away as a "stay away" from and left it at that.

I didn't connect that and this pole in anyway and it just came across as a petty attack on people, obviously a piss take, but without knowing the background it seemed strange and pointless.
