Polyester two pack supplier in Australia

Post by simso » Fri Apr 18, 2014 1:04 pm

Guys, we have just recently tooled up for sublimation printing, one of the things that allow a surface to recieve a sublimation print is apparently being coated in a polyester coating with hardener.

Anyone know of a supplier that may be able to supply Polyester two pack

This is not really for guitars as you have to bake the print into the coating at 200 degrees celcius, so in reality it would likely burn or charr the wood surface, its more of a sideline gig for printing on tiles and other stuff

I'd call PPG tech support and see what they have.

There's so many different departments to the company from domestic, industrial, auto etc you may get a runaround, but that would be my first place to call.

Ph: 132424 is the number I have recorded, I think that's the direct line to the auto tech support. Can't remember as it's been quite a while since I've needed their help. They should be able to point you in the right direction anyway

Thanks Clancy, there is a company that sells the exact product designed for this purpose overseas, so I have made a purchase with them first to actually see what the product is actually like and how well it works, once I know that it works well, I will try and source a local supplier
