Has anybody used hide glue instead of superglue?

I wouldn't be doing that. I'm pretty sure you will have a problem with it letting go on you.

Use superglue as per installation instructions.....I dont think hot glue will do the transducers much good.

Buy a fresh tube of Gel superglue and use that. I had issue with the supplied glue not working .

As Allen and Martin indicated anything else would be a bad Idea.

On the last few I've done they appear to be no longer supplying the glue with the pick-ups and tell you to buy a fresh tube of the gel super glue. So I would guess that there's been issues with old super glue.

The last batch I bought in also were not supplied with glue either.
