Like making guitars? Travelling through Virginia? Give Steve a call! Just make sure you don't upset him!!!!
He has a couple of planes in the backyard, a feisty house cat and a punchy 30/30 Winchester.

Bearclaw stika, Curly Mahogany, Pal dao & Bocote.

But Seriously guys I had a great time at Steve's place and saw a hoard of beautiful tonewood, lovely green trees, vintage guitars and gallons of sweet tea. I did have one tick that tried to catch a ride back on my well proportioned stomach.

Steve has recently taken delivery of some well seasoned cuban mahogany with tremendous curl. I will be getting a few of those soon.

The wood is Bocote. I am planning to get several sets of this in a month or two.

Here is one guitar that incorporated bocote.

Looks like Brazilian to me. Wasn't that fun, Tim! I got to meet Steve and do some shopping there myself last summer. Highlight of my vacation. He didn't shoot at me, though.

Well Ron you missed out on all the fun as I was ducking for cover under that incredibly beautiful green tree foliage. And Yes I would concur that I had a great time down yonder!
