ABG Headstock Thickness

Can anyone advise on the TOTAL headstock thickness of an Acoustic Bass Guitar.

The plans I've got (which I'm only using as a guide) say 17mm, but that seems a bit thick.

I'm using Gotoh Compact Bass Tuners from Stewmac.

15-16mm is fine
That's what my factory electric basses use, and what I used on the one ABG I have made
