Got the box closed and ready for purfling and binding, nice tight radius around the button!!!'

Used hhg for the back and binding same, a bit messy but got that curly maple binding on now, clean up and scrape the recurve.

Hey Rod,
You have put that wedge-shaped inlay into the top, and the matching sound-hole binding. Is that just because it looks good (it really does, by the way), or is there a story to tell there?

You picked it Mark, yeah a moment of stupidity, impatience saw a bit of butchery occur to the otherwise faultless spruce top and rather than try to patch, fill I elected to create a theme with the figured Blackwood to match the tail graft, peghead veneers, back inlay and sound hole bindings.

Well a bit has happened since I last posted on this thread, not long after those last pics were taken I dropped the little sucker and split one side from tail to neck. Consequently I swore I’d not build any more, well that wasn’t true coz here I am with a nearly finished mando, check it out!!!
