Just got this for my 40th birthday. Pretty keen to try it out. Next on the list is a matching high angle blade.

Happy Birthday buddy, that's a good present!

I bought the Veritas smoothing plane a couple of years back, it's really nice to have a quality tool, makes planing a whole lot easier.

I have a block plane and cabinet scraper by Veritas - wonderful tools to work with and both standouts in my collection of planes
